(I'm no lawyer, but this is my interpretation of the basics. If you doubt any of these, read the GPL. This "license" you are reading is automatically void by my consent. There. Legal suit avoided. Anyhow, this is just what I think the GPL means, and I may be wrong, so please, consult the GPL anyways... >:P)
• You may distribute the source code, but it must be EXACTLY the way you found it!
• You may charge fees for distributing copies of this. You may also exchange that fee for a warranty.
• If you derive anything from the source code, you must put whatever program you make under the GPL conditions as well, and distribute a copy of the license file. 'nuff said.
• This thing has no waranty. If it freezes, acts crappy, fails to start, or even doesn't act right on IRC, I won't give you so much as a lollipop. The GPL does not deny you the right to report bugs, however. =P
• I can charge no more than it costs to distribute this code physically. Well, nyah, eat cake corporate fagwads, it's free. =P
• You can NOT modify this source and make your own PhatIRC under my name (It'z still copyrighted, idiot), sublicense the GPL, or otherwise try to cheat me out of all my hard work, without giving me a smack of credit... You do, you die.
• If you make a new program or modify mine, you MUST include the GPL.
• If the jury sez I can't distribute this, and the license sez I can, then I can't.
• If I'm not allowed to distribute this among certain countries, I must make a new version exclusively for them if I want it distributed. Which I won't. :p Iraqi people don't need my ghetto box.
• If GNU updates the license, I gotta update mine. I pulled my copy from MacGZip.
• Finally, if you want to incorporate parts of this software in to yer own stuff, E-MAIL ME!
